We understand the important role that horses play in our lives

Valley Equine Hospital was established over a century ago and is located in the heart of Lambourn, Berkshire. We are an RCVS Accredited Equine Hospital with a team of experienced Vets who are dedicated to providing a high level of veterinary care to horses, ponies and donkeys 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

From racehorses to leisure horses and ponies, we have the facilities and expertise to deal with all your equine needs, whether at your yard or at our purpose-built hospital. You can rest assured that whatever veterinary care you may require, we have it covered.

Our purpose-built equine referral hospital is fully equipped with sophisticated diagnostic and surgical equipment including 4k Arthrex arthroscopy/laparapscopy, digital radiography, ultrasonography, a Hallmarq standing distal limb CT scanner, nuclear scintigraphy (bone scan), overground ‘dynamic’ endoscopy, resting endoscopy and gastroscopy

Our hospital team is led by our surgeons Tom and Alex, and supported by our interns and nurses. We have dedicated ICU, bone scan and isolation stable blocks, in addition to our main barn that can house a further 12 horses.

We have a purpose-built theatre and knockdown area, in addition to a room with stocks dedicated to sanding surgery such as upper airway ‘wind’ operations, in addition to multiple further treatment rooms. We have a newly built all weather arena, in addition to a lunge pen for all lameness examinations.

We provide a full ambulatory service from routine healthcare to more extensive investigations. Our team of veterinary surgeons cover all areas of equine veterinary work including racing, stud, competition and leisure horses, and are equipped with portable diagnostic equipment such as digital x-ray, ultrasound scanners, endoscopes and gastroscopes.
