Export Health Certificates
We frequently undertake the required certification for horses travelling abroad, either permanently or temporarily for competition. Equine exports can only be certified by Official Veterinarians (OVs) who have additional qualifications.
The specific requirements differ according to the country you are travelling to. The process isn’t always simple and many people choose to use a dedicated horse shipping company to organise the necessary tests and paperwork. In most cases a blood sample is required to confirm freedom from certain diseases. One of our OVs will then visit to identify the horse, undertake a physical examination and complete the required paperwork prior to departure.
