Information for owners

At Valley Equine Hospital we understand that bringing your horse to hospital can be a worrying time and that having information about what will happen on the day can help settle any concerns.

Please report to the reception upon arrival and before unloading. A member of the nursing team will help you unload and get your horse settled in a stable. Please bring your horse’s passport and any rugs or specialised feed and supplements that your horse may require. We will ask you to sign a consent form and will be happy to answer questions or concerns you may have.

If your horse is admitted to stay with us overnight you can rest assured that our team of on calls vets and nurses are situated on site 24/7 and will provide the highest standard of care. Regular checks are made through the night and any treatments required are given. We also have fully operational CCTV on site which allows us to monitor your horse alongside regular checks.

You are of course welcome to visit your horse whilst they are with us; please contact the office the day before to arrange this. Please report to the reception on arrival.
